買賣房地產時,有些縣市會有自己的房地產交易條令(City Ordinance), 包括一些在escrow成交時必須做的房屋整理,確保電線,省水馬桶等等的家用器具是符合市規定. 有些是投交一筆金額, 到申請市政府的專員到房子外檢查, 這些都需要時間, 比方洛杉磯市(City of Los Angeles)收到申請表正本(由賣家填好再開一張支票於LA Department of Building and Safety)與錢之後,還要大約2~3個禮拜的手續時間, 這個時候提早知道您的房地產是位於需要檢查的縣市可以提早做準備. 才不會延遲交易!
